Iris is a goal-driven, independent woman who, despite being entirely blind, makes her living as a travelling merchant selling her self-made elixirs and enchanted goods across the far corners of Eorzea and beyond.Iris is often cautious to let others in beyond arm's length - typically presenting herself among strangers and clients with a reserved, proper, professional... and some would say rather cold demeanour. Befitting an expert of her craft, perhaps - though when she does warm up to someone, she usually does so quickly, and swiftly reveals her nature as the fun-loving, snarky, quick-witted, adventurous and headstrong little Auri she truly is. Just don't tell anyone.At heart, Iris seeks the thrill of discovery - travelling across the lands out of a desire for new experiences, and of course to further her craft (and business) with the knowledge gained along the way!

Unsurprisingly, Iris has many difficulties navigating the world, and unfortunately for her, much of her work requires just that... But she's never deterred! - She finds herself in constant need of hired blades for protection when gathering ingredients for her potions, or simply a pair of eyes to assist with her more mundane works - scribes for her research notes, navigational assistance in unfamiliar cities, or even just any mundane visual description whenever necessary. Just about anything is easier with a helping hand!

Iris provides a number of services to any who might request them - healing services, potions of any variety, lessons in magic... you name it, she can put a price on it. That price isn't always cheap, but she assures a professional's touch is always worth the premium - and there aren't many other options out in the wilderness, are there?

Iris' greatest passion is in her magic - nothing ignites her spark more than the prospect of a new spell or magical theorem to practice and master next... some would call it something of an obsession. If your character knows any strange or unusual applications of magic, she'll happily exchange her findings with any fellow mage!
A... "Particular" Need:
Though her intentions are usually in the right place, her intense desire to learn more can often get her into trouble - if she needs a questionable material sourced for her work, and word gets around you're someone who might provide it? Expect a knock.
Enchanter's Apprentice:
Iris particularly struggles with advanced enchantment work - she'd like to improve this skill but has yet to find a suitable and willing teacher. Could that be where you step in?
